In August I had the pleasure of creating floral arrangements for a colorful Charleston wedding. The lovely couple – Liz and Marcel – were married at the Unitarian Church in Charleston, and had their reception at Gage Hall next door. The wedding was planned and coordinated by the awesome team of Megan and Blair from Mingle.
We used some peachy pink Juliet roses, ivory Mondial roses, blue delphinium, locally grown coral zinnias, and locally grown gomphrena. The locally grown flowers were from Sea Island Flower Farm on John’s Island.
Hair and make-up was done by Paper Dolls. We made this colorful comb for the bride. She has gorgeous red hair that was styled perfectly!
A floral backdrop for guest photos was created to hide the fireplace in Gage Hall. It was created with hanging garlands on a 7 x 7 ft square arch.
The Unitarian Church in Charleston has one of the most romantic gardens – just look at those ferns!
Finally, one of my favorite photos that Anne Rhett took is the one below. It is so peaceful and graceful. I want to find that chair and relax in it a while.
