Last week I made some arrangements for the Charleston Symphony League’s Designer Showhouse 2016. My inspiration for the arrangements was the modern + retro interior decor of the house and the huge loquat tree in the backyard. I like to call these arrangements Southern tropical retro!
Since azaleas, purple tulip magnolias, and Indian hawthorne were in bloom, I decided to incorporate these flowers for some local flavor. I also used a few ripening loquats and the darker green loquat leaves to add a tropical feel to the arrangements.
The white exotic emperor tulips, Carolina jessamine, and freesia are from Sea Island Flower Farm. This exotic emperor tulip is like no tulip I have ever seen!
These curvy vases gave the arrangements such a fun and whimsical feel! They are my new favorite vases.
I also made a cute bud vase arrangement for the back bar area.
Thank you to my friend, Lindsay Fair Photography, for capturing some of these arrangements before I installed them!
